If you elect to engage in an Identification Activity, however, we may ask you to provide us with certain personal information about yourself, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including zip code), email address, telephone number and date of birth. When you order products or services, we may also ask you to provide us with your credit card number, expiration date and authentication codes or related information. Depending on the activity, some of the information we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some is identified as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory information for a particular activity that requires it, you will not be permitted to engage in that activity.

Tell-A-Friend/Buy it for a Friend. If you choose to use our referral service or buy a deal for a friend, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email with the gift you bought for them or inviting him or her to visit the site. Global Halal Exchange stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email, sending their gift, and tracking the success of our referral program. Your friend may contact us at support@ghex.com to request that we remove this information from our database. We use Personally Identifiable Information to provide products and services to you, administer sweepstakes and contests, enhance the operation of the Website, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, analyze Website use, improve our product and service offerings, and to tailor your experience with third parties as provided in Item 3 of this Privacy Policy. For example, if you send our customer service an email we may use your comments and feedback to tell others about our services, and may post your comment in our marketing materials or on our Website. Your comments may contain personal information such as your name, we will obtain consent from you to post your name along with your comment prior to posting your comment for public view. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, resolve disputes, accomplish administrative tasks, contact you, enforce our agreements with you, including our Website Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Non-Personally Identifiable Information is information that does not identify a specific End User. This type of information may include things like the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) of the website you visited before coming to our Website, the URL of the website you visit after leaving our Website, the type of browser you are using and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. We, and/or our authorized Third Party Service Providers and Advertisers, may automatically collect this information when you visit our Website through the use of electronic tools like Cookies and Web beacons or Pixel tags, as described in Items 4 and 8 of this Privacy Policy. We may share your information with Global Halal Exchange Merchants. From time to time, we provide offers from particular merchants (referred to as “Global Halal Exchange”) who, as part of the offer, request information on Global Halal Exchange customers who purchased the offer in order to aid redemption. In those cases, we share some of your Personally Identifiable Information with Global Halal Exchange Merchants. Sharing this Information may allow a Global Halal Exchange Merchant to market directly to you should they choose to do so. However, we will only share Personally Identifiable Information with a Global Halal Exchange Merchant if you engage in an Identification Activity, and then only to the Global Halal Exchange Merchant involved in that Identification Activity. We specifically disclaim any responsibility or liability for the actions of such Global Halal Exchange Merchant. While we inform them that they are only permitted to communicate with you for the purposes of the specific promotion with Global Halal Exchange, we do not have any responsibility for the actions of the Global Halal Exchange Merchant, and the actions of the Global Halal Exchange Merchant are not in our control.

We may share your information with Authorized Third Party Service Providers. We provide services and products through third parties. DEAL INFO SPECIFIC QUERIES

Is it possible to purchase a deal as a gift?

Yes. We communicate with all the merchant we work with that Global Halal Exchange can be purchased or given as gift, unless the fine print specifically states otherwise. As long as the voucher code hasn’t been used yet, anyone you give the Voucher to won’t have a problem redeeming it.

How long is a Global Halal Exchange deal available on the website?

Each Global Halal Exchange deal is available for purchase on the website for a fixed duration period. The clock counting down, as shown on the image below, indicates the amount of time the deal will run, providing that the deal capacity limit has not been reached.

If the capacity is reached before the deal finishes, the deal will become unavailable for purchase and we will mark it as Sold Out.

If it says, “Limited time available”, it means that there is an unknown limited time left, so buy your desired deal as soon as you can before the deal ends!

How many vouchers are available for each deal?

Each deal has a fixed capacity limit which the relevant business has agreed that Global Halal Exchange may offer for sale. We do not disclose that figure, which is commercially sensitive.

Is it possible to remove the price from the voucher?

Unfortunately we can’t make any edits to the voucher. The value of the deal will therefore show on the voucher. Please note that the ‘Voucher value’ on the voucher indicated the original price of the deal without the discount.

To remember: For data protection reasons, any query related to the voucher will have to be made by the person who purchased it.

Is it possible to buy a deal after the deal ends on the website?

Unfortunately, once the countdown on the deal has ended, it is no longer possible to purchase the deal. But keep an eye on our site as we often feature some of our best deals, or similar ones, more than once!

HOW CAN I SEND THE GIFT?

All what you need to do is change the shipping address to your desired person. As simple as that!

Where do the images I see on the deal come from?

Wherever possible, we will use images taken at the merchant’s location or of the exact service or item being offered. However, in cases where this is not possible, the images will be used for illustrative purposes and may not be a direct representation.

Some products might be facing delay in delivery especially when it comes in bulk. This could be due to several factors such as bad weather during shipment of product to our shore or customs issues once they have docked at our port.

Furthermore, due to recent implementation of the shipping act by Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia and Federatioin of Malaysian Freight Forwarders (FMFF), there will be a 100% customs inspection conducted to every cargo imported from China. As such, this act will and has affected many of our merchants which led to delays in the delivery process.

For more info please click here (http://gr.pn/Kastam) for a notice from the Kastam department and here (http://gr.pn/FMFF) for a notice from the Federation of Malaysian Freight Forwarders.

I have never gotten any announcement on delivery updates about my product!

These announcements are sent out to the same email address you have registered with Global Halal Exchange. If you are using Facebook to login, you can check your Facebook email address to see the announcement.

If that is not the issue, our announcements might have skipped your inbox and landed in your Junk / Spam folder instead. You can check there too to double confirm.

How can I be sure my product will reach me on time?

Usually your order will reach your doorstep within the delivery period stated on the Fine Print of your Global Halal Exchange voucher.

How does buying a voucher work legally?

Our business model is a revolutionary new concept, so some of the regulations surrounding it are still being developed! Basically, there are 3 different contracts involved in how it all works:

1) The first contract is between you and Global Halal Exchange, which comes after buying a vouchers or products or services. That voucher can be exchanged for products or services from a merchant. This contract is our agreement to supply you with the deal you have purchased and nothing else.

2) The second contract is between the holder of the Global Halal Exchange and the merchant selling the products or services – it is a contract between you and the relevant merchant, which is formed when you apply to redeem your deal. The clever bit is that the payment to the merchant for products or services under that contract is the same payment made to Global Halal Exchange for the voucher. Legally, this contract has nothing to do with Global Halal Exchange.

3) The third contract is between Global Halal Exchange and the merchant. The merchant commits to us that it will supply the products or services when someone who has bought a voucher (or is given a voucher) from Global Halal Exchange redeems that voucher with them.
